EF5 Proven in the Joplin 2011 Tornado.

Are you twister safe?

Twister Safe designs, manufactures, and installs quality and tested storm shelters, and safe rooms that can be installed in new or existing construction. No need to demolish and rebuild from scratch!

We have revolutionized storm safety by providing your families and employees peace of mind, by preparing for the what-ifs. Our products can be installed in residential homes and commercial businesses for both interior and exterior fittings.

Our History

In 2004, father-son team Enos and Jeremy Davis saw a need for handicap accessible, interior storm safety that was affordable and easy to install in new or existing buildings. Enos and Jeremy merged their knowledge of steel fabrication, along with national research and testing, to create a safe room strong enough to withstand the 7th deadliest tornado on record. This was the EF-5 tornado that wiped out Joplin, MO on May 22, 2011.

Prior to the Joplin Tornado, Twister Safe was the only above-ground manufacturer in the surrounding 100-mile radius. To better serve you, we have expanded from a one-person shop to a 20-plus person, 8,000 square-foot manufacturing facility still located in our hometown of Neosho, MO.

Having many safe rooms gave our neighbors greater confidence in above-ground storm safety that is great for everyone. People who previously had nowhere to go due to building restrictions can now trust our systems!
